I was told to report future cases here. Apologies for not using the {{Link summary}} etc. templates, but it took multiple days to make this table and I'm exhausted. Since no-one seems to care exactly what "type" of obfuscation the spam edits are using I won't bother explaining them; just note that the 00 ones are not obfuscated, and type 15 is new (2 citation templates in one <ref></ref>). The domain column links to Spamcheck this time.
Notes:
- Draft:Jacyn P. Heavens and Jacyn P. Heavens were created by LuxerDu (talk · contribs) after the first batch was blocked and after the global locks mentioned below; those pages can be deleted under G5.
- Povchoc made Special:Diff/70929248 to nlwiki adding paysafe-casinos.com in an obfuscated manner (13), and after got locked on April 8 as a

account; this also happened to Coresaril on the same day, who added metaedge.gg (12) instead. Both accounts were locked and locally (on nlwiki) blocked by xXBlackburnXx. - Edits and added
https://info.microkeeper.com.au/products/rostering-softwar; note the typo. by Apocaliptic Spore (talk · contribs) [sic] and by Uddent (talk · contribs) happened almost right after, on the same day (UTC), fixing the typo. Both edits were tagged Visual edit; both users created their own very simple user pages (like other LtJoe spampuppets); and both users have similar edit counts (around 50). At the same time however, Apocaliptic Spore has made edits that add sections (among other stuff) with edit summaries like(Added|Expanded) /* section_name */ section
, which is not characteristic of other sockpuppets; both users' edit counts are also far higher than average. Special:Diff/1308421546 by Apocaliptic replaces a Wayback Machine archive with archive.today, which is an archiving site LtJoe loves. I'm not sure what to make of that. - Should the SPI case be moved to one of the earlier accounts identified?
- Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Unkinned had obviously LtJoe accounts (see for example from one of the accounts originally identified with a classic LtJoe obfuscation pattern, and also from another one of the accounts, which has the lesser known pattern of obnoxiously abbreviating the spam website name, so Wikibusines [sic] turns into "WBJournal", just like how in , CasinoNews turns into "CNews"; I guess this is to make the edit seem more legitimate at a quick glance); should this case be merged into LtJoe? Note that that case has accounts like Afis121 (talk · contribs) () that I have not included in the table above; thus, the accounts found and blocked at that SPI need to be checked also.
- Per spamcheck, there are many more edits adding the info.microkeeper.com.au domain, but I'm not sure they are LtJoe. They seem to be in the pattern of adding it as its own spammy citation, possibly with a wikilink, another citation, or minute copyedits bundled with the edit. It seems like "microkeeper.com.au" has contracted a different SEO group prior to LtJoe.[a]
- I have not reverted the edits listed yet (except one, for some reason). When you revert, feel free to change the red crosses
{{n}} to ticks 
{{y}}; if only the spam link is removed but the other changes are kept (not recommended), change it to a yellow tick 
{{mby}}. Also feel free to fix typos and other mistakes in the table above. Please do not add additional entries; reply instead. - Several of the domains/accounts mentioned here were recently reported on here, especially by Staraction. I have also independently identified xchief.com but have not included it in the table above as I assumed it would be handled in its dedicated thread (in the end the accounts were not blocked).

- {{checkuser needed}} with fair warning: this is probably going to be annoying. Consistent with previous results, I expect many if not most of these accounts to be on proxies. However, CheckUser has revealed some interesting results with accounts that have been doing this kind of obfuscated spam (e.g. 1 & 2). Anyone who is working through this case should feel free to contact me on or off-wiki for behavioural analyses if necessary. In the meantime I'll get to cleaning up after some of these accounts... spammers with bad-faith obfuscation
not sure I follow -- aren't all (or most, if you're willing to AGF on one or two) of them bad-faith (at least, that's what it appears like to me)? It seems like one massive SEO "backlink" service spamming Wikipedia (and deliberately hiding the fact), not individual people/companies adding the links and getting {{uw-spamublock}}'d (which may be in good faith, as not everyone knows about our strict anti-spamming policies). Improving our templates
[edit]I've been here a few months now, and I thought I'd share my ideas for how our templates could be more effective. I don't have TPE so I can't implement the suggestions if they have support, and I'm also not sure I'm technically competent enough.
- I'd like to replace the link to Special:ListUsers in {{usm}} with Special:CentralAuth which provides all the same information as well as cross-wiki info (I find CA is by far thr most helpful link for investigating cross-wiki cases, much more than GlobalContribs or toolforge GUC; it even autosuggests usernames that start with a string, making it IMO more helpful than listusers for that purpose as well). The link text (currently "status") could be "CA" or "SUL", but the full "Central Auth" probably takes too much space. The shortcut [[sulutil:$1]] is a concise way of linking to meta CA which includes additional info, so that would be my preferred way of doing it.
- The link to toolforge:global-search in {{lsm}} should put the domain name in quotes; otherwise it includes, for example, all instances of the string "com", which isn't helpful.
- I don't think I've ever seen spam on wiktionary be reported here (indeed, they aren't common targets for spam because it's so easy to spot), and linking to both enwikt and frwikt from {{lsm}} feels wildly excessive. I suggest removing both of these, since it's a very cluttered template.
- Again for link summary, I'm not sure why we include a link that google searches wikimedia.org; any relevant pages there (such as SRG archives) would probably be noindexed anyway. An option that google searces *.wikipedia.org might be a lot more helpful, as a faster alternative to global-search.
Hopefully at least some of those are helpful suggestions; since they're template protected I have to demonstrate consensus to make potentially controversial edit requests, so indicating your support or concerns here would be helpful. lp0 on fire () 06:28, 2 September 2026 (UTC)

I agree with most of the suggestions. I think the wiktionaries were in the past more of a spam target, as the wikipedias are more monitored, and that was then a more easy place to hide. Probably could go now, since the spamcheck would now easier show that.
Most of the edits could go through the sandboxes, which you can edit. Then we can check / see and an admin/TPE can move them over. Note that I do like the way the templates render on meta, where they always go in an own line, even when typed in a line. - I've made what I believe to be the correct changes to Template:User summary/sandbox and Module:Link summary/sandbox. - I've done this, which adds these to the parsed templates. m:User:COIBot/m:User:LiWa3 are both still running, but the editing is botched after they updated the login system and I haven't gotten it back to work for the bots. - I think reworking it to look like meta would be a lot of work and probably not worth it, since every current usage in a bulleted list (which is just about all of them) would have to have the bullet removed, and a substantial rewrite could also be some effort. lp0 on fire () 22:52, 10 September 2026 (UTC)
- The meta template ignores whether it is bulleted or not. I make numerous edits to the pages resolving the formatting errors due to lack of bullets or people using the templates in a full sentence.
