Sweet Robo is an American company that manufactures robotic vending machines. Founded in 2020 and based in Brooklyn, New York, the company produces machines that prepare items such as cotton candy, ice cream, popcorn and balloon toys on demand.[1][2]
History
[edit]Sweet Robo was founded in 2020 in Brooklyn, New York as a dessert vending company, producing machines that dispensed treats such as cotton candy, ice cream and lollipops.[1]
In December 2024, Sweet Robo partnered with the brand emoji and UNIS Technology to launch co-branded machines, including a balloon machine, a cotton candy machine and an ice cream machine.[3]
In 2025, Sweet Robo launched an automated souvenir-cup vending machine at Hersheypark. The machine won a Brass Ring Excellence Award for Best New Menu Item – Year-Round Operation, presented to Hersheypark by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) in its 2025 awards.[4]
In July 2025, Sweet Robo became a partner in RoboBurger — a Jersey City-based startup that had received a $1.5 million offer on the television show Shark Tank for its automated burger vending machine[5][6] with Piny Vind assuming the role of president of RoboBurger.[7][2][1]
Later in 2025, Sweet Robo received a Gold Stevie Award in the International Business Awards, and was named Vending Machine Automation Solutions of the Year by Food Business Review.[8][9] At CES 2025, Sweet Robo exhibited an AI-powered vending machine that designs and prints custom phone cases on demand.[10]
At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the company introduced ChocoPrint, a vending machine that 3D-prints chocolate shapes and logos.[11][12]
In 2026, Sweet Robo partnered with Santa Cruz Fun Foods, the licensee of ICEE Cotton Candy, to produce cotton candy machines under the ICEE brand.[13][14]
