Lesley Simpson is an Indonesian media executive and producer. She is known for her work in the streaming media and audiovisual content industries, including serving as Country Head of WeTV and iflix Indonesia and later as Vice President of Digital Lifestyle at Telkomsel.[1][2]
Career

[edit]Lesley began her career in the digital media industry and later served as Country Head of WeTV and iflix Indonesia. In this position, she was involved in business development and the production of local content for the Indonesian market.[3]
In 2020, Lesley was identified as Head of Business Development and Marketing at PT Tencent Technology Indonesia (Tencent) in reporting on WeTV's expansion into Indonesia.[4]
During her tenure at WeTV Indonesia, Lesley was involved in the development and promotion of various Indonesian original productions. She was credited as an executive producer of the series Little Mom.[5]
The series Little Mom subsequently became one of WeTV's productions to gain attention outside Indonesia and was reported to have trended in several countries. In the report, Lesley was identified as Country Head of WeTV and iflix Indonesia as well as executive producer of the series.[1]
Lesley was also involved in the production of Imperfect The Series 2. ANTARA identified her as Country Head of WeTV and iflix Indonesia when production of the second season was announced in 2021.[6]
In 2023, Lesley was still identified as Country Head of WeTV Indonesia and was involved in the development of several original series, including Mozachiko.[7]
The series Harus Kawin was also produced during her tenure at WeTV Indonesia. Media Indonesia identified Lesley as Country Head of WeTV Indonesia in its coverage of the series.[8]
Telkomsel
[edit]Following her tenure at WeTV, Lesley joined Telkomsel, where she has served as Vice President of Digital Lifestyle. The position has been reported in connection with Telkomsel's partnerships with companies and digital entertainment platforms.[2]
In 2025, Lesley was involved in the development of Telkomsel's digital entertainment partnerships, including collaborations with iQIYI and WeTV.[9]
Film production
[edit]In addition to her work as a media executive, Lesley has been involved in film production through MAXstream.
In 2025, she was credited as executive producer of the short film Little Rebels Cinema Club, a MAXstream Studios production directed by Khozy Rizal. The film was selected to compete at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival in the Generation Kplus section,[10] where it won the Crystal Bear for Best Short Film from the Generation Kplus Children's Jury.[11]
