Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion

"WP:RFU" redirects here; not to be confused with requests to unblock or requests to unprotect.

Create a request for undeletion below if you want to:

• Restore pages or files which were deleted through:
  • the proposed deletion process
  • one of the specifc speedy deletion criteria listed below, or
  • XfD discussions closed as "soft delete".
• Improve the content of a deleted page so that it can be kept; or
• Use the content of a deleted page somewhere else. In this case it can be restored as a draft, moved into your userspace, or emailed to you privately.

As an alternative to this process, you can make a direct request to certain administrators. (JavaScript .js and CSS .css pages are a special case; to request those, use the Interface administrators' noticeboard instead.)

Applicable speedy deletion criteria

You can only request the restoration of pages which were deleted by speedy deletion if the criterion used was one of the following.

• A1, no context
• A3, no content
• A10, recently created article that duplicates an existing topic
• F4, lack of licensing information
• F5, orphaned non-free use files
• G6, maintenance deletions
• G7, author requests deletion
• G8, pages dependent on a non-existent or deleted page
• G14, unnecessary disambiguation pages
• U1, user request
• U2, nonexistent user

For abandoned pages that were deleted under G13 (abandoned drafts and Articles for creation submissions) or U6 (abandoned user subpages of non-contributors), use the button below instead:Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion/Abandoned pages page instead.

• ~2026-52254-56, Declined pending further information. This was undeleted over six months ago with a pledge that it would be worked on, but no edits were made to improve the entry for resubmission. Draft space is not an indefinite hosting service for material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia's article mainspace. We may be willing to restore it again, but only if you provide a definite assurance that you actually intend to work on it and provide a short description of what you intend to do to improve it to meet our policies and guidelines. Please advise. KylieTastic (talk) 22:15, 28 September 2026 (UTC)

Hi Kylie, thanks for the reply.

Yes, I do intend to work on the draft properly this time. I’ve reviewed the previous AfC comments and I understand the main issue was the lack of significant independent secondary coverage, along with some sourcing and inline citation issues.

I’ve now found stronger material, including an independent profile/interview from Vanguardia/Notimex, coverage from the Comune di Firenze regarding her 2018 exhibition at Casa di Dante, and institutional exhibition material from Museo Gustavo de Maeztu.

I’ll use those to strengthen the sourcing, remove anything promotional, support the exhibition and career history properly, and rewrite the draft in a more neutral style before resubmitting it.

I’d appreciate it if the draft could be restored so I can start making those changes.

Thank you. RespiroLento (talk) 05:35, 29 September 2026 (UTC)

Draft:List of Xbox (2001) Errors

• Draft:List of Xbox (2001) Errors · ( talk | logs | history | links | watch ) · [revisions]

Hello, I would like to request the restoration of the deleted draft “Draft:List of Xbox (2001) Errors” (deleted under G13 on 6 April 2024).

I am researching the history and sourcing of the Xbox (2001) error-code information in the draft, particularly the claims about error codes 22–28. A copy of the draft appears to have been preserved on EverybodyWiki before the Wikipedia draft was deleted, but I would like to examine the original Wikipedia draft and its history to determine where the information came from.

I am not trying to recreate or publish the article. I would simply like to inspect the deleted draft and its revision history for research purposes.

Thank you.

Draft:Harry Rosenberg (biochemist)

I would like to request restoration of Draft:Harry Rosenberg (biochemist), which was deleted under G13 by Liz on 24 August 2026.

The draft was reviewed by ChrysGalley, who confirmed the subject is notable (WP:ANYBIO, potentially WP:NACADEMIC and WP:NAUTHOR) and who added an Australian Jewish News obituary as a further independent source. The one outstanding issue was verifiability of an offline source (a 2022 speech at the ACT Jewish Historical Society), which is now referenced on the society's website. I disclosed on my user page that I am related to the subject.

I would like to restore it to continue improving the draft and resubmit through AfC. Thank you. ~2026-52751-92 (talk) 00:07, 30 September 2026 (UTC)

Vlora Incident

• Vlora Incident · ( talk | logs | history | links | watch ) · [revisions]

This article was automatically deleted without any discussion. It was deleted on the basis that it was a Hoax, and that the deleter deemed it inaccurate to call it a battle. This is despite the case that multiple sources were cited that indicate that a number of Soviet soldiers died, and that it was a major diplomatic incident that almost spilled over into war. Virtually all academic sources that cover the Hoxhaist era, such as Miranada Vicker's "The Albanians" and James O'Donnell's "A Coming of Age: Albania Under Enver Hoxha", both mention the incident. The deleter also claimed it is an incident of forking, given that there is already an article on the Soviet-Albanian split, however the split both long predated and long outlived the Vlora incident, the Vlora incident was a particular flashpoint in that conflict. The Soviet-Albanian split article only mentions it in passing. Although of course not of the same scale of human cost, it is like trying to delete the wikipedia article "Sino-Soviet border conflict" which mainly focuses on the battle of Zhenbao/Damansky Island and other incidents surrounding it. Both the Sino-Soviet split lasted long before and long after the fighting ceased. The Vlora Incident is well recognized as one of the most important turning points in Albania's modern history, and to not have it is a disservice, and confusing to Wikipedians. —~2026-52768-69 (talk) 01:43, 1 October 2026 (UTC)

Request for undeletion: Babek Valah Nabiev

Hello,

I am trying to locate an article about Babek Valah Nabiev (Babek Nabiev), which I believe existed on English Wikipedia approximately two years ago.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the original URL or exact page title. Could an administrator please check whether an article under this name was deleted?

If it was deleted, please provide the exact reason for the deletion and, if possible, access to the deleted version so that the article can be properly corrected and brought into compliance with Wikipedia's policies.

I would appreciate clarification about what happened to the article and what requirements would need to be met for it to be restored.

Thank you. ~2026-53221-42 (talk) 04:55, 2 October 2026 (UTC)

I think you meant Babek Nabiyev which was deleted after a PROD where the concern was "Fails WP:NFOOTY as the RPFL is now not a WP:FPL league, neither are Latvian Higher League or Azerbaijan First Division. Never played for the Azerbaijan national team.". You can request its undeletion here, but be warned that it will immediately qualify for WP:AFD. I had asked the admin who was in charge of the afd if (being that I was primary editor) if I could have the information to this article (soundtrack credit information/citings/sources/music information etc.) as I was unable to find any backups of this in my own files, and the admin refused and pretenses that the article will simply be removed again, due to wording on my part, when I mentioned that I would like the article restored/revamped/revised/back on Wiki as I feel the article is needed and with the proper work it should be a solid article; when It has been over a year and a half since the afd. I am requesting that the deletion be overturned and the article restored to draft space so it can be substantially rewritten and properly sourced.

The subject has received independent coverage in Nigerian media, including substantial articles/interviews from The Guardian, The Nation, Punch, and Vanguard. These sources discuss his career and professional activities rather than merely mentioning him in passing.

The original article did not adequately present this coverage or explain the subject's significance. I would like the article restored to draft space so that I can rewrite it neutrally, remove promotional material, and add the independent sources directly to the relevant claims.

So if the subject is notable best to start from scratch. KylieTastic (talk) 10:52, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
