AI glasses are a new class of glasses or smart glasses (see Sutherland[1]) where information - visually overimposed onto reality, as typical of Augmented Reality Glasses and the like - or other kind of information - is enhanced by the availability of further data provided by Artificial Intelligence methods and gathered through the user's network, the World Wide Web or database of other nature. Smartglasses, depending on the type of interfaces available they have, might gather as well information form the context, which becomes an input to the Artificial Intelligence functions and engines
So thet the wearability character of AI Glasses, natively linked to the concept of context awareness, represents a turning point for the AI world.
Moreover, the enhancing information may include, but are not limited to, Large Language Model based chatbot [[2]], such as, for example, Chat-GPT, Gemini and Claude. Literature concerning AI glasses is rapidlty emerging, with varying definitions appearing as well. A comprehensive first source focusing on AI glasses is the paper A systematic literature review on integrating AI-powered smart glasses into digital health management for proactive healthcare solutions[3], "AI-powered smart glasses" replaces the "AI glasses" expression, more of common use.
