Mohammad Shishir Manir (born 1 August 1981) is a Bangladeshi lawyer and politician. He is a Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He contested the 2026 Bangladeshi general election as a candidate from the Sunamganj-2 constituency.

Early life and education

Manir was born on 1 August 1981 in Daulatpur village, Sallah Upazila, Sunamganj District.[1] He completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Dhaka.

Professional career

Shishir Manir is a Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He is known for handling high-profile criminal and constitutional law cases. He is the founder and head of the law firm 'Law Lab', based in Dhaka.[2]

Political career

Manir was involved in student politics during his university years. He served as the central Secretary General of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir from January 2009 to January 2010. Later, he joined Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and was the party's candidate for the Sunamganj-2 (Dirai-Sallah) constituency in the 2026 general election.[3][4]
