Full frame (cinematography)

This article is a weird duplicate sitting uncomfortably between Full-frame camera (about the digital cameras of the specific 36x24mm format, that can do stills and video), and 35 mm movie film, a well detailed overview of 35mm film videography. The confusion probably comes from how full-frame digital cameras are sometimes called "35mm full frame" because of the film analogy; however in this specific case I believe this is a fork that should be deleted. I propose draftifying because the current article reads like a dictionary and as it pertains to fiberoptics and electromagnetics, it appears non-notable and only cites one source. However, I think as it pertains to sports such as golf and baseball it may actually be notable, though it will need work which I can take care of. Comment: My first instinct is that it looks like a DAB page. WP:DAB says [...] there is more than one existing English Wikipedia article to which that word or phrase might be expected to lead. I did find a few academic papers (and the Standard cited on the page, of course) using the term in the optics context, so it's not unreasonable that a person can search for them.

Maybe we can fold the current three sentences about optics into their respective articles and link to those sections, then also link to a Launch angle (sport) or Launch angle (projectile motion) page of sorts. LkL-70547 (talk) 14:48, 1 October 2026 (UTC)reply

The information that's different is about history of Gujarat Trans Welfare board, maitri karar practiced by LGBT people and the state's marriage registration framework. The article has four sources: the company's own website, the website of Durgol (a brand it distributes), a 2010 Fine Cooking product test of springform pans, and a January 2007 Foodservice Equipment & Supplies roundup of five new products that gives a Frieling milk chiller one paragraph of specs. The last two are about products, not the company, and neither is significant coverage; the FE&S entry is a routine product announcement. A WP:BEFORE search found only directory listings (Dun & Bradstreet, Glassdoor), retailer and wholesale pages, and the company's own catalogs. I couldn't find any news or trade-press coverage of the company itself. The article has had a notability tag since June 2014 and a sourcing tag since August 2011 with no better sources added, and no other article links to it, so there's no redirect target. Comment There are several good reasons to delete this article but WP:NOTTVGUIDE is not one of them. Do the above users know what an EPG is? WP:NOTTVGUIDE states: "5. Electronic Program Guides. An article on a broadcaster should not list upcoming events, current promotions, current schedules, format clocks, etc., although mention of major events, promotions or historically significant program lists and schedules may be acceptable." A list of TV Channels is NOT an Electronic Programme Guide (EPG). An EPG is a list of upcoming programmes/ schedules on a TV channel(s). And a list of TV Channels is... well, it's a list of TV Channels and not a list upcoming programmes/ schedules on a TV channel(s). These are two very different things. CYC1

I propose merging to Cytochrome C1 since Was_a_bee has pointed out the seemingly duplicate nature of these articles. I have a few pointers to add on however: 1. CYC1 [sic] (Cyc short for Cytochrome C) might be intended to point to the gene (Cyc1) rather than the macromolecule/protein itself. 2. Cyc1 is pretty universal, e.g. it's not specific to eukaryotes/mitochondria; it is ubiquitously found in prokaryotes with respiratory pathways. 3. It seems to me that articles like this tend to have the problem of eukaryote/human exceptionalism. You'll find a lot articles that go "XYZ is a protein that, in humans, is encoded by...", and then it turns out some unrelated species of bacterium also has it too (e.g. iron-oxidizing bacteria that have rusticyanin). Fails WP:GNG; the presentation "Comparison of Open Source Virtual Globes" is the only reliable source I found with anything close to significant coverage, and even that has dubious reliability. Note: there are unrelated applications also named "Earth3D".

DePRODed with rationale It said there would be not enough sources, only "Open Source Virtual Globes". But it actually contains links to the still existing SourceForge project and to the still existing, 22 year old website of the project. So yes, the project is real. This nomination does not question whether the project is real, but rather asserts that it doesn't meet Wikipedia's inclusion criteria. I found several independent sources which may be relevant to the notability assessment:

com! Das Computer-Magazin, issue 1/2006, p. 52, published an editorial item titled “Satelliten-Fotoshow – Earth 3D 1.0.4”. Earth3D is also mentioned on the cover of the issue. The article independently describes the software, its real-time 3D visualization, zoom capabilities and data sources. Bibliographic details: com! Please don't use LLMs to assist your comments. If you are User:D.gunia then you are in fact the original author of the Wikipedia article. Wikipedia requires significant coverage of the software in multiple reliable sources, which generally means analysis with some level of detail; more detailed than a brief description.

The text of the com! article is available on archive.org . It's possible the OCR butchered some text but it only seems to have a brief description of Earth3D, not detailed analysis.

"Comparison of Open Source Virtual Globes" was already discussed above; it's a corporate presentation and unreliable by default, and also not really significant coverage.

“Research on Geovisualization Methods and Technology for the WikiGlobe System” is a master's thesis, which is not a reliable source per WP:SCHOLARSHIP, and even that source only devotes a brief paragraph to Earth3D. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 12:25, 1 October 2026 (UTC)reply

Redirect to True Love (1989 film). To establish notability she'd have to have multiple notable roles, but overall it doesn't seem like any of her roles were actually noteworthy. Most of her TV and film appearances are non-named or super minor roles. She did have a bit of a bigger role in Brooklyn South (5 out of 20 roles before cancellation), but there's no coverage for her. She is listed higher up in the cast listing for reviews of the 1989 film True Love, but neither she nor her character are mentioned in the body of any of the reviews I'm finding. It looks like that's her most major film role, so I think a redirect there could suffice but unfortunately none of them are major enough to help her pass NACTOR. I'm fine with this just getting deleted with no redirect if that's the consensus, but my concern would be that this may encourage someone to recreate the article. At first glance the amount of hits might make someone believe that she passes NACTOR despite there being a distinct lack of coverage. It's not super uncommon for people to create articles and then assume that someone else will come along to provide the necessary sourcing. Merge; having carefully read both articles, I think separating the deplorable word from the article on the book is a big mistake for our readers. The deplorable word is an important concept in the book, deserving as much coverage in the book's article as any of the other "themes and interpretations", and thematic discussions that crop up in relation to the other stories and sources that influenced Lewis. But the article on the book has no mention of the deplorable word; someone reading that article is not getting a full overview of the book, its themes, and their significance. Merging would improve the article on the book enormously, without making the article impossibly long. Interesting observations. I also did some further reading on the reliability of the sources:

- Alta: Definitely fine. Has substantial external recognition too (1 2 3) and couldn't find any evidence of misreporting.

- Saving Country Music: Obviously WP:SPS with one person being its "editor, creator, [and] head writer". No editorial independence or anything to suggest that we can be confident in its record. Per cited policy it could be usable if the writer is a "subject-matter expert, whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable, independent publications." The about page presents a very pompous image indeed, but a quick Google search doesn't yield anything from the NYT or other reliable sources which he has apparently been quoted/interviewed by.

- Cowboy State Daily: Upon further research, the source's reputation for editorial accuracy is questionable. See CJR review of its factual inaccuracies and a very clear correction failure. Potentially okay for music, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

- Wide Open Country: As you noted, insufficient. No independent evidence for accuracy. (Note that its feature on Western AF was published on March 8 2024, while this court document seems to indicate that its acquisition by Savage Music happened on the same date so a potential COI is not implausible). We have a copy of that issue at the office, which is where I pulled it from. Since it's in Japanese, I had the relevant pages (80–81) translated to check the content: it's a dedicated case-study section on the firm, comparing the two funds (the Angel Fund and Space Capital) in a table, with fund structure, size, investor types, and portfolio counts. So it's substantive coverage of the company, not a passing data mention. The two books (Space to Grow and Space 2.0) I reviewed directly from copies we have on hand as well.
