Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Law|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.

Removing a closed AfD discussion

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Law. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). Where to begin. The article is clearly AI-generated, for starters, based on the formatting, ~~nonexistent categories~~ (edit: I meant redlinked "see also" entries), malformatted references, pointless tables, and so on. It's also FAR too detailed for a general audience, and provides essentially nothing in the way of context other than linking to the Capital Requirements Regulation (which happens to also make this page redundant). For such a detailed article there are surprisingly few citations, all of which are to primary sources, and none of which are provided with a URL (despite being fairly recent, last 15 years). Oppose, the U.S. national motto is a stand-alone topic no matter what other article exists. It has its own history aside from the wording, and has existed as a notable topic before the wording was officially agreed to by the nation's Congress. While I am happy to seek a consensus on how the page could be titled or issues with content, merging with Licence Raj doesn't seem right to me because licence raj specifically refers to the industrial licensing in India from 1950s to 1990s, but this is a continuing issue of administration and citizen facing services Ar1201u1 (talk) 20:50, 6 August 2026 (UTC)reply

KEEP: The last Secretary of FDC (Dixon) was also not a politician but had a page (most former Secretaries do). FDC is the largest state agency of the third largest state in the U.S., and Comerford is in charge of a budget greater than $4 Billion and oversees over 140,000 individuals in FDC custody and 25,000 staff members. That is surely notable enough to warrant a page to provide information on someone that many people will surely be looking up. Notability is established by significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources outside of routine coverage (such as announcements about being appointed to an office). The page has been updated with additional sources covering Comerford's involvement with major policy changes and other events at FDC, so the sources don't just cover his appointment as you suggested. As Deputy Secretary and now as Secretary, he is involved (if not behind) every decision made by this agency. That impact and influence alone is sufficiently notable. If not, I respectfully ask that you share what you think is needed. Numerous individuals have pages due to similar positions of influence, but also lack the depth of sources you seem to want. I know that alone isn't convincing to you, but I point it out because it seems to be a discrepancy in how the worthiness of pages are evaluated. Scooter3

Keep, or at least merge with Florida Department of Corrections, where he is already mentioned. He is an appointed official who has had a career as a corrections officer, not a politician standing for elected office, so WP:NPOL isn't relevant. Anti Paper Leak Bill 2026

Proposing merger with Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024. This article is about the recent amendment to the existing Act (the target article Act). The only amendments made were increasing fines and jail term period, the article basically covers about this amendment. There is no need for standalone article because this is not separate Act. The Anti Paper Leak Bill name also actually a media shorthand, it not official title, nowhere its Anti Paper Leak Bill, 2026. An amendment section is appropriate than this. Over the years, editors have pared back some of the most egregiously self-promotional content, but what's left is still a page for someone who does not meet NPOL and otherwise fails GNG. Bosnian Special Police Units
