Possible AI-generated text

[edit]

Concerns were raised previously via tag about AI-generated content in this article, which is prohibited per WP:NOLLM. This is a procedural talk page section to discuss it. There is no need to ping me in response. Read WP:AISIGNS for more information for why this is tagged; however, note that fixing the issue requires more than just changing the superficial signs.

Rationale: This 2024 rewrite; note WP:AISIGNS in outline-like challenges section, superficial analyses, vocab distro typical of 2024 LLMs etc Gnomingstuff (talk) 21:42, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

In the 2024 rewrite by an IP editor, the language style is that of 2024/2025 LLMs. I checked the paragraph starting Salma Niazi, a 23-year-old journalist ... added by the IP editor; this mismatches the source (after following the redirect) in several subtle ways that are characteristic of LLM stochastic linguistic correlations rather than a human editor. WP:LLMPROD is justified. Since the IP editor is responsible for about 30% of the article, the safest option is to go to the edit before the IP's oldid version 1231989310 of 10:09, 1 July 2024. Other editors can restore their edits afterwards. Boud (talk) 22:35, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Saeedkhan7, GBYork, Garemgarem1, and Garemgarem11: See above. You may likely wish to edit, since the article is now more or less a stub again. Unfortunately, the LLM content wasted all our time, though some of the sources may be useful. Boud (talk) 22:49, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
The first two of those four users are blocked sockpuppets, and the second two only edited very briefly. So it's up to anyone interested to work on the article properly, without adding AI slop. Boud (talk) 22:54, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
