Notability and COI Disclosure

[edit]

Hello reviewers,

I have revised this draft to address all feedback from the previous review. Below is a summary of how the article now meets Wikipedia’s notability and sourcing standards:

  • **Notability (WP:GNG / WP:ANYBIO):**
The subject has received significant coverage in multiple reliable, independent secondary sources.
The **three strongest sources** establishing notability are:
 1. The New York Times – multiple in-depth articles (e.g., coverage of wrongful conviction cases and book review features).
 2. Vanity Fair – profile feature, “Dan Slepian’s Long Fight for Justice.”
 3. The Hollywood Reporter – coverage of Emmy Award win for *The Sing Sing Chronicles.*
  • **Independence and Reliability:**
Non-independent or primary references (e.g., NBC, Celadon Books, personal websites, podcasts, and press releases) were minimized or removed. All remaining references are from recognized reliable outlets.
  • **Neutrality and Tone:**
Promotional or subjective phrasing has been replaced with neutral, fact-based language. The article now follows WP:NPOV and avoids CV-style writing.
  • **Copyright and Image:**
Any image previously uploaded has been removed pending confirmation of licensing. No copyrighted media remain.
  • **Conflict of Interest Declaration:**
I am associated with the article’s subject and have therefore disclosed my COI per WP:COI. This note serves as formal acknowledgment on the Talk page.

I believe this draft now satisfies the notability threshold under **WP:GNG** and **WP:ANYBIO criterion #3**, based on significant, independent, and reliable media coverage. Thank you for taking the time to review.
