Creator statement

[edit]

I created this article because I found the existing ones on BBC controversies and Criticisms of the BBC either too unfocussed and already too long (in case of the former) or slanted against the broadcaster, so that governmental interference would not have fit the article in a good way. (See [[Criticisms of the BBC#BBC Russia as a good example). But most of all the independence of public broadcasting (and interference with that independence) requires context to be understood fully, which is my main argument for this article.

And I am creating this post to frame the initial discussion on my decision to create a third article in the not yet existing category BBC conduct. (right now it's Category:BBC controversies) JackTheSecond (talk) 12:02, 14 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Tennant?

[edit]

The opening statement talks about the "core tennants" of the BBC. Should this be the core tenets? 2601:540:C781:C820:E1AD:C71B:7AEA:EF4E (talk) 20:22, 21 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
