Hi, I'll take this on! Disclaimer that, while I have gotten one to GA myself, I have limited expertise with character articles, so apologies if I make any mistakes. TheBrickGraphic (talk) 21:59, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Lead

[edit]
  • Rebecca has received mostly positive reviews from video game publications, with some critics praising her for being a formidable female character who does not conform to stereotypical gender norms. Something about describing a character as receiving "positive reviews" feels off to me. I'd reword the sentence to something like -> "Rebecca's characterization has received praise from video game publications, with some critics interpreting her as a formidable woman not conforming with sterotypical gender norms."

Concept and Design

[edit]
  • "After a lengthy absence from the media franchise, Rebecca returned to a major role in the 2017 animated film Resident Evil: Vendetta.". I'd cut the word "media" and "2017" so that the latter can be re-formatted into parentheses.
  • "Jill Valentine was originally considered for the role, but her intervening history was considered difficult to accommodate..." What does "intervening history" mean in this context? Does it refer to continuity errors?
  • "In the 2002 title Resident Evil, she was voiced by English actress Hope Levy and Ami Koshimizu in Japanese." I'd reword the first clause as "In the 2002 remake" and move the sentence to the end of the last paragraph, since the 2002 game is iterative of the 1996 one.
  • "Her likeness for Resident Evil 0..." Resident Evil 0 -> Resident Evil Zero. I know both are valid, but the rest of the article uses the latter.

Appearances

[edit]
  • "Canonically, Rebecca is ultimately rescued by Chris and the Alpha Team, and she emerges as Bravo Team's sole survivor of the incident in the canon version of the story." Replace "canonically" with "in the canon version of the story", since this is redundant.
  • "She has survived the events of Resident Evil 2 (1998), in which the character makes an Easter egg–type cameo appearance in an undeveloped film on Wesker's desk." I'd reword the first clause -> "She is confirmed to have survived the events of Resident Evil 2 (1998)..."
  • "She also appears in the sequel, Resident Evil: Death Island." When did it release?
