Q1: Why doesn't this article have more information on blocks/crafting/mobs/entities/mods than it does?
A1: Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, nor is it a how-to guide. Articles should strive to present a broad overview of their subjects. Video game articles in particular try to describe general mechanics and gameplay instead of specific details. This helps to keep the article accessible to readers who may not otherwise be familiar with Minecraft. Q2: Why doesn't this article show the prices?
A2: Wikipedia is not a directory. Product prices should not be quoted in an article unless they can be sourced and there is a justified reason for their mention. In general, if mainstream media sources (not just product reviews) provide commentary on the price of an object instead of just passing mention, this is an indication that its price may have encyclopedic significance. Prices listed by individual vendors, on the other hand, can vary widely from place to place and over time. Wikipedia is not a price comparison service to be used to compare the prices of competing products, or the prices of a single product from different vendors. |

Is "generally minor changes" correct?
In the lead section when mentioning the differences between Java and Bedrock, I'm wondering if "generally minor" is the correct phrasing, considering the two have some pretty substantial differences, just to mention a few: Redstone logic (e.g quasi-connectivity), Combat mechanics, Performance engines (Java vs. C++), Cross-play ecosystems, Modding capabilities on Java and Bedrock-exclusive paid content
I feel like these significantly impact gameplay and are structurally distinct, rather than just being "small differences."
I suggest this as better wording though if there's an alternative that also works I'd be down to hear it:
"Bedrock is updated concurrently with Mojang's original Java Edition, sharing the same core gameplay features while retaining several distinct technical and gameplay differences" Gauzecard (talk) 12:32, 25 September 2026 (UTC)

Adding paragraph back
@Avienby: Taking this to the talk page because I broke the 3 revert rule. Why do you think the paragraph you keep adding back is notable enough to include in the article? NRP (talk) 19:43, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
- Because it's technically a part of US history and there's no article yet on the America.gov website to my knowledge. This is something people are going to remember, I certainly will. "Hey, remember when the president vibe coded a website for America and when you asked it to play Minecraft it rambled on and on?" Avienby (talk) 23:18, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
- This is an article about Minecraft, not US history (calling it that is a stretch to begin with). It's trivia and shouldn't be in an article that already suffers from bloat. NRP (talk) 00:46, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
- and the part in question has to do with Minecraft? Again, you initially reverted the edit specifically due to one of the sources. I fixed it so that both sources were reliable instead of just the one, and then this argument happened. Avienby (talk) 00:51, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
- Being poorly sourced wasn't the only problem with it being added, it was just one of them. @Hellknowz: You just removed it too, could you help out? NRP (talk) 00:58, 2 October 2026 (UTC)

- This is obvious trivia and does not belong in the article or anywhere else on Wikipedia. There are thousands of random Minecraft mentions, references, memes, whatever all over the place. They have no lasting impact and do not belong in "Legacy". I'm sorry, but calling it "US history" is ridiculous and it's relevance to Minecraft is completely random. If people are going to remember it, then it can be included when actual sources discuss it in the future as an event that people remember. WP:NOTNEWS, WP:INDISCRIMINATE. — HELLKNOWZ ∣ TALK 08:33, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
- This clearly should not be in the article. Sloppily created AI chatbots like this will do all kinds of nonsense. Nixinova T ⁄ C 10:08, 2 October 2026 (UTC)

Why did I add Verity (web series) at the Minecraft Page?
I added the Verity (web series) Page into the Minecraft Page beacuse Verity is considered notable and it has a separate article. Furbchess (talk) 08:35, 5 October 2026 (UTC)
- "It has an article" isn't reason enough to put it in this article. There's also articles for Steve's Lava Chicken, Minecraft Manhunt, and dozens of Minecraft YouTubers, and we don't put them all in this article. Verity is no exception. Please don't add it back. NRP (talk) 19:41, 5 October 2026 (UTC)
