- ... that Meccha Chameleon is a rare case of a casual game from a Japanese solo developer reaching the top of Steam's sales charts?

- Comment: Might add hook later as this game is still new

- ALT 1: ... that a reviewer claims that "you don't have to play Meccha Chameleon to play it"?
- Source: Rock Paper Shotgun [One of the game's loveliest qualities is that, strictly speaking, you don't need to play it to play it.].
Nominator now has completed 2 required QPQs. Article clearly meets newness (June 16 creation) / length / copyright criteria. Alt0 looks good. For Alt 1, quote says "need to play" but hook says (in quotations) "have to play." Preference for Alt0. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mnation2 (talk • contribs) 16:23, 21 June 2026 (UTC)

[edit]- [56] - What is ascii.jp and why is it reliable? The linked article describes a defunct company, and Cite Unseen only describes this as unknown reliability from zhwiki.
- Weekly ASCII is reliable per WP:A&M/RS#News, idk why Cite Unseen tagged it as such. Warm Regards, Miminity (Talk?) (me contribs) 01:22, 5 October 2026 (UTC)

played various Fortnite-based games with hide-and-seek style mechanics
- I didn't spotcheck this one, but it looks like this isn't what the source says. Source says "The title, created by Lemorion_1224 and Haganeiro, was conceived in Fortnite, where the two played with various hide-and-seek-style mechanics before settling on what would eventually become Meccha Chameleon.", which seems to indicate they tested hide-and-seek style mechanics for Meccha Chameleon in Fortnite, not that they played other games.
- Done? Idk if the rewording fixed the issue. Warm Regards, Miminity (Talk?) (me contribs) 02:02, 5 October 2026 (UTC) -- It's hard to say what the correct reading here is. "played with" as used in the source could mean either that the developers tested hide-and-seek mechanics in Fortnite as a development method or that they played other hide-and-seek games to see what mechanics other developers used. I'll leave it alone because I'm unsure. ~ A412 talk! 03:31, 5 October 2026 (UTC)

Seungjin Kang of Inven Global, commending the game, attribuited its popularity to "high-quality, novel art and camouflage Mecchanics have resonated with live-streaming audiences"
- spelling, I don't think he actually commended the game, and this construction doesn't quite work, the quote isn't a noun phrase. Suggestion:Seungjin Kang of Inven Global described the game as popular on streaming platforms, saying that its "high-quality, novel art and camouflage mechanics have resonated with live-streaming audiences".
