Zambrone (Calabrian: Zambrònë) is a town and comune (municipality) in the Province of Vibo Valentia in the region of Calabria in southern Italy, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of Catanzaro and about 9 kilometres (6 mi) northwest of Vibo Valentia. It has 1,766 inhabitants.[2]
Zambrone borders the municipalities of Briatico, Parghelia, and Zaccanopoli.
The town was home to southern Italy's first water park, Aquapark di Zambrone, prior to its closure in 2007.
Demographics
[edit]As of 2026, the population is 1,766, of which 48.9% are males, and 51.1% are females. Minors make up 17.2% of the population, and seniors make up 24.0%.[2]
