Y-box-binding protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the YBX2 gene.^[5]^[6]^[7] The YBX2 protein is a transcription factor that is expressed in sperm and egg cells which binds to both DNA (at promotors) and messenger RNA.^[7]
