- Could you please say when the WMF first sought the assistance of Littler Mendelson?
- When did you and other board members learn that Littler Mendelson had been contracted to work on this?
- And which outside law firm, if any, provided advice for the February WMF message to employees?

Fram I am sorry that I have been away from public commentary for several days for my 60th birthday. But be aware that the instant I heard about the hiring of Littler Mendelson, I immediately contacted the WMF to explain why I think that was a huge mistake and to recommend that they be fired immediately. The official position of the WMF is not to do any union busting and there are some claims floating around that I don't think are at all proven but I plan to dig deeper when I'm back at my desk next week. But hiring Littler Mendelson was, in my opinion, a big mistake. Jimbo Wales (talk) 00:37, 9 August 2026 (UTC)
@Femke I was not aware when I said that no union busting law firms had been hired that Littler Mendelson had been hired. When I found out, I immediately emailed the WMF to say that I think it was a mistake and to recommend firing them immediately. As of today (the day after my 60th birthday, which I have been spending on vacation with my extended family) I do not know exactly when they were hired. [edit]- Consensus to bring Articles for Improvement to Main Page: A village pump RFC has concluded, with consensus to add This week's article for improvement to the Main Page, and while it had 89 participants, this is a relatively local consensus in comparison to the overall visibility of the page. While consensus was reached for the overall proposal, certain aspects, such as changes to the functioning of TWAFI, did not get a clear consesus. TWAFI briefly made an appearance on the main page in May 10, 2013, which was quickly pulled.
