Django (1966 film) Has been at start class for awhile and the article has been greatly expanded since then. May be B class by now. Needs to review some repeated citations where they may be unnecessary (such as consecutive sentences using the same citation). Material in the infobox that is cited should be cited where this info is in the body rather than the infobox. Anthony Perkins is currently only listed as C class, but even the quickest of peeks tells me it is easily B class - a long detailed good-looking well-sourced article on an internationally known actor from a seminal film. Perhaps even A class (but for that I would need to study the article for longer). Regards CapnZapp (talk) 07:08, 8 March 2023 (UTC) @CapnZapp: Thanks for looking at it. Length-wise, I agree that it's fine - it definitely covers the topic well, which is B#2 of the assessment criteria. While there's more to B-class than just length, I thought it was B-class on all of the criteria with the exception of B#1 - suitably referenced. At first glance, it would appear to be; but when you really take a good, detailed look over the article, there are some spots where entire paragraphs lack a source. Now, it might be that that information doesn't need to be cited - it could be covered and cited elsewhere in the article and is simply repeated. But I haven't look at it closely enough to determine that, which was the main reason I held back on the B-class. Also, there are a couple of places where the opposite it true - there are a couple of instances of overcite/refbombs. Those should be cleaned up, either removing sources that are repetitive, or bundling them. So, it this minor nitpicking? Yes, but the assessment criteria don't mean anything if we're lax about them. Assessment is not a perfect science, so my opinion on it is just that - my opinion. Someone (like you) else may look at it and say, "definitely B class" and that's fine by me. But part of my opinion on it is that we shouldn't be too cavalier about assessment. B-class and higher assessments should have a high bar and a good study of the article to make sure they meet the criteria well. (That said, I agree that the content is there for an even higher assessment.) Hope that gives some clarity to what my thought process was. Boyd Magers's site is considered reliable - especially since he is a cited source in several books we already consider to be reliable sources themselves. However, so much weight to one single interview by the subject of the interview doesn't provide much in the way of verifiability (other than the fact that she said it about herself). In some cases, that may be fine, and that may be the case here, but it would need a second set of eyes to confirm that. 2023

• Pages related to the Yellowstone franchise: Yellowstone (American TV series), 1883 (TV series), 1923 (TV series), Bass Reeves (TV series), and likely more in the near future. Some, but not all, are approaching or exceeding B class. For at least the main Yellowstone article another question needs to be asked: isn't this mid importance - this show is easily the most influential Western on (US) television in recent times, and it is definitely one of the biggest (American) show full stop, across all time and all genres (production budgets, guest star actors, articles written etc) in recent times. I would agree that Yellowstone for sure should be at least mid importance - at least as far as the Westerns project is concerned (the other projects have their own criteria). Our criteria for importance actually needs to be reviewed (and probably revised) as it is rather unclear. For the Westerns project, the imporance assessment is intended to be based on what the work means to the genre. Audience response and big production budgets are not all that important to that - they're an influence, but not the deciding factor. What Sheridan is doing for the genre itself - that's what makes it a more important work. Taylor Sheridan is not only widening the audience of the neo-Western genre, he's also pushing the boundaries of Contemporary Westerns and Revisionist Westerns (IMO). Update to this, I think Yellowstone (American TV series) is probably more of a "high" importance, considering what it spawned. I think it's popularity was helped by a hunger for more neo-Westerns (from previous popular neo-Westerns such as Justified and Longmire), but Sheridan took the genre and pushed it to new heights. (Note: I wouldn't consider the spin-offs equally as high importance, though, since they ride the popularity train created by Yellowstone) That's my 2 cents on it, anyway...
