From the angle of unregistered: explain why they might want an account

You can now:
- Start new pages, including your own user page.
- Log into other Wikimedia projects.
- ~~Edit without your IP address being visible, except to a few highly trusted users who have the Checkuser permission.~~
- Send, and optionally receive, e-mails to and from other users.
- Use more advanced editing tools.
After 4 days and 10 edits, you'll be able to:
- Edit semi-protected pages, Rename pages, Upload images, ~~Vote in arbcom and board elections~~

- Userpage – user pages can hold a sandbox and quicklinks and selfexpression
- Usertalkpage – discussion tabs in general
- Special:Preferences – Customize the appearance and behavior of the website to your own preference.

Your user account tutorial.

This tutorial will cover some of the main features that are available on Wikipedia, for an editor that has logged-in.

A brand new account can start new pages.

Many editors start by creating a userpage for themselves, which can contain links to a personal sandbox,

links to pages that are commonly referred to, [eg quick links to templates and projectpages etc]

and sometimes, background on the editor's interests. [eg possibly refer here to WP:COI#Declaring an interest ?]
