How to use this page

Making a request

Before asking volunteers to look for your source, try finding it yourself with the tools at your disposal. This includes scanning the project's shared resources list before placing a request.

In particular, eligible editors can use the Wikipedia Library, which gives access to content provided by numerous academic publishers.

Fixing references and common medical problems!
Warning: for legal reasons, we must note that the Resource Exchange cannot fix any medical problems. But it can fix references.

• Though we would prefer you to ask for a specific journal, article or work, we will accept open-ended questions. You can ask for all kinds of sources here, either on this page or by writing directly to an active user.
• Provide as much detail as possible: a full citation with author, title, publisher, date and identifiers like DOI, ISBN, ISSN, PMID, OCLC, etc. Indicate which article you need this for.
• Due to copyright restrictions, we cannot send you full book/thesis copies. Narrow down your request to a specific chapter or page(s).
• Since we cannot post original copyrighted material online, we will most likely send it by email. Make sure you have specified an email address in your preferences before asking.
• Add the {{Resolved}} template when your request is completed.
• Filled requests are archived. Requests unfilled after three months will also be archived.

Fulfilling a request

• Anyone may offer advice and fulfill requests, in full or in part. When fulfilling a part of a request, tell others which one so that they don't have to do the same work.
• Notify (mention) the requester using {{u|REQUESTER_USERNAME}}.
• You can:
  • post a URL address ( https://... ) if the material is available online and the webpage does not infringe others' copyrights
  • share scans of pages or documents using a file-sharing service if legal

Copyright tips

• Respect copyrights and terms of services of any online services you use.
• Limit sharing content online that the copyright holders have restricted access to to the minimum level: only to the individuals who need it, only to the minimal degree necessary to fulfil the request and only to improve Wikipedia. We share content under a presumed non-commercial, educational, fair use purpose to improve our articles or create new ones.
• Whenever possible, share copies privately. You should not upload copyrighted copies from print publications or online databases for unrestricted distribution via open websites.
• Individual editors are solely responsible for sharing copyrighted content and assume all legal risks. Check the laws of your jurisdiction to make sure you are comfortable and safe giving access to it.

• upload out of copyright works to Wikimedia Commons or Wikisource (make sure your institution's policies allow this). Check Wikimedia Commons's guide for copyright in each jurisdiction if in doubt.

Volunteers who will locate and send articles for you and are willing to be contacted to handle complex queries or answer questions

Source about the Strandzha Commune

I'm looking to cite specific page numbers for this source in the article about the Strandzha Commune. The Google Books link only allows fragmentary views, so it's difficult to find exact pages from it. If somebody can get me the section between pages 99 and 148, I will be able to cross-reference it with an English translation and finally cite some specific page numbers in the article. According to Worldcat, it's available in a number of libraries in the US and in the British Library in St. Pancras.

Australian Figure Skating Championships

I have been working off-and-on for the past two years to complete the results tables at Australian Figure Skating Championships. As you can see, there are numerous instances of missing data, including the host cities, and silver/bronze medalists. I have pored through Newspapers.com, Old News, Trove, and just now bought a week's access to the archives of The Sydney Morning Herald. National figure skating championships would typically have been held between July and September. If anyone can suggest other avenues for finding any of this information, I would appreciate it. To be clear, I need only the senior-level results.

The publisher's website helpfully lists the excerpts from reviews, but I want to find at least one or two of the listed ones, which is a big task for me, because I can't navigate in anything Swedish.

I'm creating a new article for Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza for her Chinese duet song, "Be Like Water". In the history section, I'm trying to confirm if these two Chinese songs (月亮代表我的心 ("The Moon Represents My Heart") and 征服 ("Conquer")) were recorded by Siti Nurhaliza back in 2004 for her mini album. I can find the keywords on the website, but I'm not clear about the context in which the keywords are being used in the article, as she also performed both songs during a show in Taiwan in 2004.

Algorithmic amplification

• Requesting the earliest recorded use of the phrase "algorithmic amplification". I have checked the OED and it does not appear to have an exact entry for the phrase. Ordinary web searches have not returned a solid earliest-use result. An OED entry giving a first-attestation date and quotation would be ideal if I have missed one. Failing that, the earliest datable usages anyone can find in dictionaries, academic databases, legal or policy databases, historical news corpora, or web archives would let me assess whether a short note on the term's origin can be added.

• Pairs: There was only one team – Anna Tabacchi & Massimo Salvadè – since the event was going on in real time and they were followed immediately by the dancers.

• Ice dance: It sounds like Anna Croci & Luca Mantovani were the winners. Any word on the second- and third-place results? I have to imagine it was mentioned in there somewhere since the ice dance event was happening in real time.

I could not find a link to that interview but supposedly it should be on COMPOUND CENSORED (paywalled). The only open-access piece that is close by date is this "viral"(?) YouTube video and this... other? August 2015 interview. The latter does not mention Hansen's birthday at all.

I just need to know if it mentions Hansen's birthday. If you don't want to watch the thing for me, just send me the full video.

@RFNirmala Yeah, I trying to do it, but it (button) just "spins" forever after I click Sign-in (tried twice already each time from the scratch). So it looks like I can't even be registered there...

If you have an access, what I need there (pages) is everything about "Specifications for military aircraft", i.e. it's prehistory (effect of WWI, reason why it was proposed etc.), and i.e. why it become obsolete and was redesignated on 1924 (i.e. 'cause McCook Field closure i.e. or extensive crew losses because of too many different types of or... why?) and... if it's available, any information (i.e. requirements or development/test history) about special type planes, except messenger and alert (it would be also good, as one as additional info about military ones but not most neccesary as there's a couple of sources already about it).

I mean, if you are already registered there and can search through the text. SO... If there's such pages (I bet it will be somewhere on the start of the book) - I need it (with both text and page numbers).

And, for sure these links (all to archive) can help as good enough info to be extracted from.

Hi! I notice the Chinese Wikipedia edition of the article has a full nationality breakdown but cites a Chinese article. I'm looking for an English-language article (possibly from the South China Morning Post, the Bangkok Post, or another newspaper) that gives a full nationality breakdown of the passengers and crew.

I searched Newspapers.com for coverage; that coverage seems to focus on American, British, and/or Australian passengers and/or crew. I would like to find a source in English that gives a full nationality breakdown.

It seems to be different from what I saw on ZHwiki (which is cited to a Chinese source). I'll modify the request and ask for articles from South China Morning Post and the Bangkok Post (two English language publications not easily accessible with the Wikipedia Library) which give nationality breakdowns, if that's ok. Your link points to Typhoon Ora, not Typhooon Pamela. I think you meant zh:颱風柏美娜 (1972年). Ta Kung Pao is marginally reliable. It is CCP's mouthpiece and you should treat it like WP:CHINADAILY. No comment on Hong Kong Commercial Daily's reliability. I believe you can find all the referenced newspapers in the Old HK Newspapers archive. The references do state the page number in the newspaper. For example, I was able to find reference #15 ("下午三時改掛七號風球後...") in Ta Kung Pao at the quoted page number and date. Google searches brought up that a kings list existed specifically however someone with a copy they found at Rimbaud's House & Museum in Harar stated there was no list, its likely the London copy alone has it. Maqrizi's work is heavily cited hence its reliable but the English translation is not popular usually academics just cite the direct Arabic primary source. The article in question concerns Troy and is to be improved. In the early 2000s, there was an extensive debate, particularly in the media, between the excavator Manfred O. Korfmann and Frank Kolb, who passed away recently. I may also create a separate article specifically on this subject.

I believe the page numbers are 46–48, per the Chinese article's citation, but if they are not please send the correct pages.
