WPCleaner (Next Generation) is an attempt to rewrite WPCleaner in a more modern way (Java 25+, Spring Boot, JavaFX...) to improve it and its maintainability. As its predecessor, it will be designed to help with various maintenance tasks, especially repairing links to disambiguation pages, checking Wikipedia, fixing spelling and typography... It will have both a graphical user interface for manual/semi-automated/automated actions in the hand of a human contributor and a fully scriptable interface for fully automated actions run by a bot.
The progress can be followed on GitHub project homepage. Current release includes the following features:
- A login window,
- A main window (main entry point to access currently available features),
- A recent changes window (work in progress),
- An analysis window (work in progress).
