[edit]duhui in taiwanese mandarin
[edit]Can anyone tell me what "duhui" means in Taiwanese Mandarin? They keep saying it in these vids I'm watching, eg. here, at 2:34, "ranhou duhui". It seems to mean "like/um", a kind of filler word. IBE (talk) 06:38, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
- It's dōuhuì, 都會, "would all", the sentence on the screen is, more literally, "...and then they would all ... [I guess] it would count as ... warmly help each other".
- The erroneous romanisation in the video is probably due to the subtitlist's confusion with the identically written, but differently pronounced, word, 都會, dūhuì, which means "metropolis". --PalaceGuard008 (Talk) 13:58, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
