What's a Wiknic? It's a wiki picnic that you can edit! Wiknics are potlucks: bring food and beverages to share. Everyone, young and old, veteran and newcomer, is welcome.
This year's Wiknic will take place at Meridian Hill Park; you can enter at the corner of 15th and W Streets NW
Nearest Metro: U Street on the Green and Yellow Lines; exit the station at the 13th and U exit; walk west on U Street to 15th Street, and then north on 15th Street to W Street
Nearest Capital Bikeshare docks: 15th and Euclid Streets NW (on the north end of the park); 14th and V Streets NW (southeast of the park)
What you could bring:
- Food and snacks for yourself and/or to share
- A blanket or tarp
- Water and ice
- Frisbee/softball
- Board games
- Card games
- Friends (even those new to Wikipedia)
- Wiki and free culture goodies and giveaways
