The first Wikipedia meet-up in Cebu was supposedly held in Mandaue City, Cebu on June 23, 2008. The Philippine Wikimedia Community is a Local Implementing Partner in the First Philippine Open Source Summit at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) from June 23 - June 24, 2008, partnering with Vibal Foundation.

Result
[edit]There was no actual meet-up; the two delegates only attended the sessions at the CICC. A planned meet-up after the summit didn’t come into fruition also. On the other hand, Wikipedia was promoted in the event through the help of Vibal Foundation. They distributed materials prepared by Felipe Aira and set up a promotional poster at the hall.
