2007 Enterprise tornado

[edit]

2007 Enterprise tornado (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

I propose merging to Tornado outbreak of February 28 – March 2, 2007 because this article is clearly a WP:CFORK, as it adds almost no new information (the tornado summary here is somehow shorter than the one in the outbreak article) and could easily be merged into the outbreak article (which also needs expansion) per WP:SIZERULE. Lightbulb Noob (talk) 23:15, 1 October 2026 (UTC)reply

Support - I don't see the need for this being an article when the outbreak article, as mentioned, has a more detailed summary and also the fact the outbreak article could use a ton of updating / expansion as well. Timcigar12 (talk) 23:56, 1 October 2026 (UTC)reply

fails WP:GNG; I did some searching and was not able to find significant coverage in any reliable source Joeykai (talk) 23:29, 30 September 2026 (UTC)reply

Act of Congress (music group)

Act of Congress (music group) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Doesn't pass WP:NBAND or WP:GNG; only one source meets WP:42, while the rest are trivial mentions, concert announcements, or based on interviews. This includes sources offered by a band member on the talk page. CCM Magazine publishes articles for payment and doesn't appear to publicly disclose which are paid articles. Meadowlark (talk) 00:49, 28 September 2026 (UTC)reply

It appears I got CCM confused with another source (LTTM), and I was wrong about that statement. I've struck it, with apologies. Thanks for pointing that out! Meadowlark (talk) 18:07, 30 September 2026 (UTC)reply

2011 Eclectic–Lake Martin tornado

[edit]

2011 Eclectic–Lake Martin tornado (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

This tornado does broadly meet the criteria for WP:NTORNADO, hence I won't be preposing for deletion, but if you removed the synopsis section, this entire article is much smaller than its respective section in the 2011 Super Outbreak article. It is clear this isn't ready yet and was rushed to the mainspace. I am also fine with its deletion if agreed on due to concerns of it qualifying WP:LASTING or it being a WP:CFORK. TornadoEF4 (talk) 00:35, 27 September 2026 (UTC)reply

Delete - This almost is a WP:CFORK and can be fit perfectly in a summary on the main page for the 2011 Super Outbreak, which it already has a summary and one that has double to triple the detail of this article. Timcigar12 (talk) 20:30, 27 September 2026 (UTC)reply
Strong Support for Deletion - Useless WP:CFORK, all the information is already on the 2011 Super Outbreak article. Lightbulb Noob (talk) 20:34, 27 September 2026 (UTC)reply
Support for Deletion - A WP:CFORK, the tornado likely doesnt meet lasting criteria due to the lack of modern news sources specifically focused on this tornado. Quincy Gordon (talk) 20:48, 27 September 2026 (UTC)reply
Merge as WP:CFORK and as an AtD. shane (talk to me if you want!) 13:18, 28 September 2026 (UTC)reply
I mean this in the nicest way possible but what is there from this article to merge that can even remotely possibly "improve" the subsection within the 2011 Super Outbreak subsection of this tornado that isn't already there? Timcigar12 (talk) 21:19, 30 September 2026 (UTC)reply
This article has definitely got a few issues, but I think this was his first article, and he even said he might move it back to draftspace, but I personally don't mind what happends I'm not gg87 (talk) 19:10, 29 September 2026 (UTC)reply
would it be too late or somehow bad if I just move this back to draftspace? Tornadoes Likely (talk) 12:19, 1 October 2026 (UTC)reply
Please do not mess with it until this discussion is closed. Lightbulb Noob (talk) 14:36, 2 October 2026 (UTC)reply

Jackie Johnson (weather broadcaster)

Jackie Johnson (weather broadcaster) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

She did the weather on TV for 14 years in Los Angeles, picking up some film credits, yet I struggle to find sourcing that isn't fluffier than a cumulus cloud. Most of the references are appearances in various media outlets in the last 18 months to promote her current media venture, including on morning news and lifestyle shows that don't represent independent coverage. If I had a nickel for every time I've encountered WKRN's lifestyle show in a notability conversation this year... Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 22:40, 25 September 2026 (UTC)reply

Delete per nom. It seems like the author, Special:Contributions/Bremerton98310 has a habit of creating articles with one source or re-creating already draftified articles, as seen with 2026–27 Wisconsin Badgers women's basketball team and Draft:2026–27 Wisconsin Badgers women's basketball team Publicwalrus (talk) 00:04, 17 September 2026 (UTC)reply

Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, Star Mississippi 02:57, 25 September 2026 (UTC)reply
Keep I added a couple citations. This pattern of not citing anything is lazy and wasting everyone's time; however, the subject matter is notable. Not sure the best remedy for this problem. -Wil540 art (talk) 15:42, 1 October 2026 (UTC)reply
  • Delete per nom. The sources are not independent/databases. The path forward here is to work on the page while it is in the draft and move it to the mainspace when the team has played actual games. Kelob2678 (talk) 17:15, 2 October 2026 (UTC)reply
