Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Paranormal
| Points of interest related to Paranormal on Wikipedia: Category – WikiProject – Alerts – Deletions – Cleanup – Stubs – Assessment – To-do |
This is a collection of discussions on the deletion and merging of articles related to Paranormal phenomenons and related articles. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion and neither does removing an AfD from this page remove it from the main page at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add
{{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}}to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear. - You should also tag the AfD by adding
{{subst:deletion sorting|Paranormal|sig=~~~~}}to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- Edit this page and add
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Paranormal phenomenons and related articles. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

As stated on the article's talk page, this article was created with an LLM. Per WP:NOLLM, generating articles with LLMs is not allowed. The RfC that led to NOLLM was explicit that there is no grandfathering-in of LLM-generated articles that existed before the adoption of NOLLM. There is also no provision in NOLLM to allow LLM-generated content that has been reworked by a human: generating article content with LLM is just not allowed. - Note: this discussion has been included in the AfD sorting lists for the following topics: Fictional elements, Literature, Film, Magic, Music, Television, Video games, Paranormal, and Popular culture. BhikhariInformer 📮 (Ping me or else I won't see it) 05:21, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- Delete - shows many signs of AI usage, and the sourcing is AI driven too. It was arguably OK to do this at the time of initial editing. There were proper checks and balances at the time too. But WP:NOLLM has to mean something, and this is pure AI in tone and structure. For example
More radical figures like her mother Endora and cousin Serena, who embody a transgressive future for witches, are often narrative obstacles to Samantha's domestic bliss
, which is just AI showing off technical jargon and hardly represents good quality human summarisation. ChrysGalley (talk) 09:36, 27 September 2026 (UTC)

- Delete per nom; article was created by a NY state community college student with the assistance of AI as a course assignment. 5Q5|✉ 11:37, 27 September 2026 (UTC)

- Delete as a violation of WP:NOLLM. ScalarFactor (talk) 18:58, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- Delete: per NOLLM. Needs to be rewritten entirely without LLM use, although the sources may be useful (assuming there's no hallucinations). In solidarity, Gommeh (talk 🎮 sign) 22:01, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- Delete: Clear WP:NOLLM violation. AI generated articles are not acceptable. MidnightMayhem (talk) 23:34, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- Comment: There are currently two foreign-language versions: Russian and Armenian. The Russian article appears to be human produced with more illustrations and references. Its intro paragraph is different. The Armenian article's intro translates as a word-for-word copy of this one. This English article has been saved in the Internet Archive multiple times since created, so if it is ever given another go as a title there will be a way to compare with the LLM version referenced in this AfD. 5Q5|✉ 11:24, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- Delete: As the user who brought up this and other articles up at WP:AIN#GenAI college course from Spring 2025, I think all the articles that came out of this course should be deleted, regardless of whatever the instructor says. Very clear violations of WP:NOLLM. Lazman321 (talk) 23:20, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- Comment'. The ru wiki article seems much better; it was created recently by User:Dulamas. Perhaps Dulmas would be interested in translating their article to English to replace the mess we have here right now? I could help proofread it etc.
- Additionally, the talk page comment suggests this was created as part of a educaitonal project led by User:Doctorxgc which seems to be heavily reliant on AI generated content. If we think this article is not acceptable, the others at Wikipedia:Wiki Ed/CUNY-LaGuardia CC/ENG103 (Spring) may need reviewing, as well as content created by other courses led by this instructor. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:38, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
- I'm happy to delete / WP:TNT and replace it with a translation from the superior ru wiki article. Like with any class assignment, some students' work will turn out to be higher quality than others, and I'm glad for these to be evaluated based on their actual quality rather than a scattershot approach. - I'm a bit more hectic nowadays, but I'm willing to pitch in as needed with locating sourcing and all of that good stuff. I've a copy of Grande Dame Guignol Cinema, which has some coverage of witches since there's some definite overlap with those themes. - Delete obviously, this fails NOLLM and the LLMPROD tag should not have been removed. ‑‑gurkubondinn 08:00, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
