Union Sportive de Sidi Kacem (الاتحاد الرياضي سيدي قاسم), commonly known as US Sidi Kacem or USK, is a Moroccan association football club based in Sidi Kacem. Founded in 1927 during the French protectorate era, the club is one of the oldest sports institutions in Morocco. USK historically competed in top-flight Moroccan football and reached two Throne Cup finals.

History

Early Era and Colonial Foundations (1927–1956)

The club was established in 1927 under the name **Union Sportive de Petitjean** during the French protectorate era, as the town of Sidi Kacem was then named Petitjean. Following Moroccan independence in 1956, the club was renamed Union Sportive de Sidi Kacem and integrated into the national football pyramid under the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).

The Golden Era (1970s–1980s)

USK enjoyed its most successful competitive era during the late 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. The club finished as runners-up in the top-flight Botola Pro during the 1969–70 season, missing out on the national championship title by a narrow margin.

USK reached the final of the prestigious Throne Cup on two separate occasions:

• 1974–75: Lost 2–0 to SCC Mohammédia in the final played in Casablanca.
• 1979–80: Lost 1–0 to MAS Fez in Rabat.

During this period, the club produced notable international players for the Morocco national football team, most notably legendary forward Abdellah Samat and goalkeeper Larbi Houari.

Modern Era and Financial Struggles

Starting in the late 1990s, US Sidi Kacem suffered from severe administrative instability and financial deficits, which resulted in consecutive relegations down the Moroccan football ladder. After spending several seasons bouncing between Botola Pro 2 and lower divisions, the club currently competes in the Amateurs II administered by the LNFA.

Stadium

The club hosts its home matches at the historic Stade Abdelkader Allam in Sidi Kacem. Named in memory of General Abdelkader Allam, a native of the city, the stadium features a natural grass surface and holds a capacity of approximately 10,000 spectators.

Colours and Badge

USK traditionally plays in a primary red and black home kit (red shirt with black accents, black shorts, red socks). The official club emblem features a shield containing red and black vertical stripes, a classical football, and Arabic typography stating "الاتحاد الرياضي سيدي قاسم" alongside the establishment year 1927.
