Tingotingo pouaru is a species of Malkaridae that is endemic to New Zealand.[1]
Taxonomy
[edit]This species was described in 2020 by Gustavo Hormiga and Nikolaj Scharff from specimens collected in Reefton. The holotype is stored in Te Papa Museum.[1]
Description
[edit]The male is recorded at 2.37-2.59mm in length. This species has a red brown carapace, yellow brown legs and a greyish brown abdomen.[1]
Distribution
[edit]This species is only known from Reefton, New Zealand.[1]
Conservation status
[edit]Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Naturally Uncommon" with the qualifier of "One Location".[2]
