Timung is one of the sub-clans (locally called Kur) of the Tungjang clan of Karbi community.[citation needed]

Residence
[edit]They mainly live in Karbi Anglong, and West Karbi Anglong districts of Assam state and other parts of Northeast India.[citation needed]
