The Neilson Nutshell is a venue within heritage-listed Walsh Bay Arts Precinct that is owned by Bell Shakespeare. It is Bell Shakespeare’s main studio and theatre space for both rehearsal and productions,[1] and can be transformed into an event space for private or corporate functions.[2]

It is named after a quote from Shakespeare’s play Hamlet where the title character states “O God, I could be bounded in a nutshell, and count myself a king of infinite space.” [2]
