[edit]Sorry to be a stickler but this is a bugbear of mine. There is no such word in the English language as themself, since it is a portmanteau of them, which is plural, and self, which is singular. Themselves is a word, as are himself and herself (as well as yourself, myself and itself ). When talking about an individual there should be no ambiguity as to which personal pronoun to use, so this template shouldn't really have a default wording. nagualdesign 10:49, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
