Error with conditional 5000-10000 edits link
[edit]@Drbogdan: Regarding your revert, what was the error you encountered? Revert reasons should be specific. ··gracefool 💬 03:53, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Gracefool: Thank you for your comments - and question - my concern was that the "Template:User MAWcustom" userbox on my userpage (at => "User:Drbogdan") - right after your edits - displayed a message (in red) which included the word "ERROR" as I recall - after reverting your edits - and purging my userpage to reexamine the userbox, the error message disappeared - and all was ok again - perhaps - creating a completely new userbox (based on similar coding as the present one) could provide a way of further testing your new coding? - without presenting such an error message with the current ok userbox? - in any case - hope this helps in some way - Thanks again for your comments - and - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 13:10, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Drbogdan: Thanks I'll try that :) ··gracefool 💬 10:56, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Drbogdan: I've fixed it now - the conditional didn't handle the default parameter like I expected (it was only broken if you didn't use it with a parameter). Tests (useful for any future changes) are at User talk:Gracefool/User MAWcustom. ··gracefool 💬 12:43, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Gracefool: Thank you for your recent comments - however - the "Error" persists? - the userbox on my userpage (at => "User:Drbogdan" - or - at => "User talk:Gracefool/User MAWcustom") at the moment is as follows => "This user is one of the [[Expression error: Unexpected < operator|1400most active English Wikipedians]] of all time." - maybe more work on the coding is needed? - Thanks again for your comments - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 13:13, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
Done - Reverted edit to original coding - all now seems ok again at the various related userbox locations - iac - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 14:01, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Drbogdan: I don't see any errors at User talk:Gracefool/User MAWcustom...? ··gracefool 💬 01:14, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Gracefool: - Thank you for the comment - yes - agreed - there is no error at present on the "User talk:Gracefool/User MAWcustom" page - however - before your latest template code was reverted, there was the noted error => "This user is one of the [[Expression error: Unexpected < operator|1400most active English Wikipedians]] of all time." => esp on the "{ {Template:User MAWcustom|< BIG>1400< /BIG>}}" listed item (the usual way of presenting the template on other pages) - hope this helps - iac - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 12:17, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

Not working the way it used to
[edit]Oshwah, your recent change has broken how this userbox works. When I have {{User MAWcustom|250}}, it now reads that I'm the 250th most active Wikipedian of all time rather than one of the top 250 most active Wikipedians of all time, like it used to do. the Stefen 𝕋ower 19:04, 24 July 2026 (UTC)
- StefenTower - Okay, I'll undo my changes. I might've misunderstood what the template was supposed to display. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:41, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks. It might could use most of the technical improvements you were attempting, as long as the context isn't changed. the Stefen 𝕋ower 21:26, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
