Join discussion?

[edit]

Is that pointer "and join in a discussion of the issue on the talk page." really necessary? Ordinarily, one would not start a discussion for this tag, as it is self-explanatory what "lead missing" means. Besides the templates gives links to MOS and guidelines, where one could find all the info on leads they need. —  HELLKNOWZ  TALK 10:20, 14 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Removed, per your correct comment. Debresser (talk) 11:45, 14 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Recent change to add param 'talk'

[edit]

I've provisionally added |talk= to the template, which is a parameter supported by {{Ambox}}, but I'm encountering some problems in Special:ExpandTemplates when attempting to test this change. I've filed a report at Module talk:Message box which may shed some light on this. In the meantime, I'm not quite sure whether I should undo the change or not; this change is a very vanilla one, and is specifically called out at Template:Ambox#talk, so it should be pretty uncontroversial. I don't see any issues so far, but if anyone notices a problem either ping me, or just revert. A description of the problem you noticed would be helpful. Use in stubs/articles without sections?

[edit]

Hi! I occasionally work on the category this template goes to, and I sometimes notice that articles are placed in this category when they have no sections. For example, . Is this appropriate? What should I do to clean up these cases? I would think that the whole article serves as a lead here, I'm not really sure what I would summarize. SomeoneDreaming (talk) 02:42, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
