Category:Pages using duplicate arguments in template calls

[edit]

The last two edits by User:Bluealbion have added this template to Category:Pages using duplicate arguments in template calls which clearly means the edits were malformed. You can usually see these errors if you use "show preview" before saving. Something you should always do when making edits to templates like this one. Please discuss here before make more edits. Thank you! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 17:18, 12 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

I think there is one such problem: orig_lang_code is called twice. I’m not confident enough to edit the template though. Keriluamox (talk) 08:18, 9 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposal, new parameter

[edit]

Not sure if this is the appropriate place for this, but I've noticed the template lacks a parameter for "Superseded by", which would be useful to link the Constitution that has replaced the subject one, which is the case for many countries that have had many constitutions. Thus, I'd like to propose adding this parameter. Torimem (talk) 20:35, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I had exactly the same idea. Thankfully, adding a parameter based on an existing one turns out to be pretty easy, so I simply went ahead and did it. I tested it out on the infobox in Weimar Constitution and it works fine. Peter G Werner (talk) 23:54, 1 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much. I had even forgotten that I had posted this here. I'll add it to Brazil's constitutions, which is what I had in mind back then. Torimem (talk) 00:36, 2 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Proposal for new parameter to tell when the current version took effect

[edit]

It is not clear if date_last_amended is supposed to tell the date when the last amendment was ratified, or when it took effect. I presume the first, so we would need a new parameter for when the current version of the constitution took effect. Hölder-continuity (talk) 19:40, 8 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Is this not too much detail? If really necessary, it is possible indicate two dates in that single field. Keriluamox (talk) 06:04, 9 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
