- It changed the layout of the entire GAN page by making each template section take three lines instead of one on mobile devices. This nearly doubled the overall vertical scroll of the page. — {{U|Technical 13}} (e • t • c) 16:02, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Technical 13: This is for users with the CSS hack enabled, not for the default setup, right? For most users that code should render exactly the same in the browser as the code with the span tags. Also, you mentioned some scripts that use the classes - which scripts are they? - Correct on the first point. On the second point, there are only three people (Mdann52, Ritchie333 and Technical 13 (myself)) that use User:Technical 13/Scripts/GANreview. This script was created to use .js to determine if pages exist or not and eliminate the use of {{(pf)ifexist:}} if possible because there was a huge backlog issue crashing the whole project. — {{U|Technical 13}} (e • t • c) 17:05, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

Link overkill
[edit]Do we really need all of these short links? Talk page and history links are both helpful for straightforward reasons, and maybe page views too, but would there be any immediate need to see to edit, protect, see linkbacks, or logs directly from the WP:GAN page? I think it can be removed to save some heft from the page. czar 19:08, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
Annotate links
[edit]If we remove the extra links, we'd have the space to add the short descriptions next to each article: {{anl}} or {{laal}}. Being able to readily identify the contents of obscure topics, I think, would make reading or reviewing those articles more enticing, at least personally. czar 19:20, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
