Parameters reversed in documentation?

[edit]

The first parameter is specified as top and the second as left. Isn't this backwards? In the wikitext for Template:Annotated image/Extinction, used as an illustration, the annotations K–Pg, Tr–J, and O–S all have 110 as the second parameter; that would seem to be left according to the documentation, which would mean that they would all line up in a vertical column, wouldn't it? In fact, they are all in the same horizontal row. Perhaps I misunderstand what top and left are supposed to mean. If so, the matter should be more clearly explained.
