Template:User tarot/random/doc

This template randomly selects one of the 78 cards in the Rider–Waite–Smith tarot deck and displays it using {{User tarot}}.

Usage

To draw a random card for your userbox, use the subst: prefix:

{{subst:User tarot/random}}

Using subst: is recommended because it substitutes the randomly selected card into your user page. After saving, the result will be a normal {{User tarot}} invocation containing the card that was drawn.

For example, the substitution might produce:

{{User tarot|The Star}}

The card is then fixed until you change it yourself. If transcluded, the card will change whenever the page is purged.

Changing your card

To select a particular card instead of drawing one randomly, use {{User tarot}} directly:

{{User tarot|The Moon}}
