Template:Tfr2/doc

This template is used to list other templates for renaming (moving) at the WP:TFD (Wikipedia:Templates for discussion) pages. This template is a Wikipedia self-reference and so is part of the Wikipedia project rather than the encyclopedic content.

Usage

To nominate a single template, substitute this template on the latest WP:TFD log page above the other nominations:

• Note: CurrentTemplateName and NewTemplateName represent template names excluding the prefix Template: (or Module:).
• Accepts up to 25 current/new name pairs. These can be specified as |current1= and |new1=, |current2= and |new2=, etc. Or they can be done as unnamed positional parameters, as long as you get the order right. See examples below.
• To specify modules instead of templates, use the parameter |module=Module: (note the colon).
• To specify a mix of templates and modules, use this template twice in a sandbox, once for the template(s) and once for the module(s), and cobble together the relevant lines into a single entry, then post that at TfD. There is presently no way to tell the template to not apply a namespace itself and to just accept input as including the namespace on a per-item basis (this was attempted, but the underlying {{Tfd links}} template cannot do this).
• You must provide a rationale with |text= AKA |reason=, and sign it with ~~~~.
• This listing template automatically sorts current and proposed new names into separate columns.
