Usage

This is equivalent of {{Audio}}, except scaled smaller and with the label predefined to "pronunciation".

These codes are equivalent:

Guy Verhofstadt ({{pronunciation|Nl-be guy verhofstadt.ogg|Dutch pronunciation}}) is ...

Guy Verhofstadt ({{small|{{Audio|Nl-be guy verhofstadt.ogg|Dutch pronunciation}}}}) is ...

which produce:

Guy Verhofstadt (Dutch pronunciation^ⓘ) is ...

Guy Verhofstadt (Dutch pronunciation^ⓘ) is ...

If only the first parameter (the file name) is specified:

{{pronunciation|En-us-eye.ogg}} → pronunciation^ⓘ

The second parameter can be used to override the label that links to the audio:

{{pronunciation|En-us-eye.ogg|listen}} → listen^ⓘ

Set the third parameter to either ( or ) to enclose the template in parentheses. Compare:

{{IPA|[aɪ]}} {{pronunciation|En-us-eye.ogg|listen|(}} → [aɪ] (listen^ⓘ)

{{IPA|[aɪ]}} {{pronunciation|En-us-eye.ogg|(listen)}} → [aɪ] (listen)^ⓘ

Tracking category

This template adds pages in the namespaces main, file, help, category, portal and book to the Category:Pages including recorded pronunciations (Template:Category handler#Basic usage).
