Template:Newdelrev/doc

Purpose

This template may be used to list a new request at deletion review in the deletion review log. In addition to producing the link string

Pagename (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) (restore|cache|AfD)

the template adds the provided reason the requested review below the link string. This template incorporates {{Drvlinks}} into its function. For a second and other multiple deletion review listings, use {{Drvlinks}}.

Usage

To use this template, simply put

{{subst:newdelrev|pg=<PAGENAME of page to review>|ns=<NAMESPACE of page to review>(optional)|reason=<REASON to review>}}

on today's DRV log.

Parameters

Drvlinks takes three named parameters, |pg=, |ns=, and |reason=. In a page title, |ns= is the text before the colon (":"), and |pg= is the text after it.

• |pg= is the title of the page nominated for review.
• |ns= is the namespace in which the nominated page resides:

1. Main (Article) namespace - if |ns= is left blank, the template defaults to article space. |ns=Article also may be used.
2. Wikipedia (Project) namespace - Use |ns=Wikipedia
3. Help namespace - Use |ns=Help
4. User namespace - Use |ns=User
5. Category namespace - Use |ns=Category. Also see Template:NewdelrevUCFD
6. Image namespace - Use |ns=Image. Also see Template:NewdelrevImg
7. MediaWiki namespace - Use |ns=MediaWiki
8. Template namespace - Use |ns=Template
9. Special namespace - Use |ns=Special
10. Media namespace - Use |ns=Media
11. Portal namespace - Use |ns=Portal
12. Table namespace - Use |ns=Table

• |reason= is the reason the review is requested.
