Template:Fb-rt/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Description

[edit]

{{fb-rt|nation|variant|size=optional|name=optional}}

Produces a flag icon attached to a wikilinked national football team article. Similar to Template:Fb, but puts the flag icon on the right side of the team name instead of to the left. This is useful when formatting match results.

Parameters
  • nation — Use either the name of the nation or the three-letter country code as used by FIFA
  • variant (optional) — Specifies an alternate (historical) flag to use. This parameter is documented by the appropriate template in Category:Country data templates.
  • size (optional) — Can be used to change the flag icon size (use sparingly!)
  • name (optional) — Can be used to change the wikilink display text

Examples

[edit]
  • {{fb-rt|Brazil}}Brazil
  • {{fb-rt|ENG}}England
  • {{fb-rt|Italy|1861}}Italy
  • {{fb-rt|GER|name=GER}}GER

Alternative to avoid Wikipedia's Post-expand include size limit

[edit]

Pages with many flag icons may come close to or exceed Wikipedia's Post-expand include size limit. To reduce this:

  • {{#invoke:flag|fb-rt}} is a wrapper for Module:Flagg that can reduce sizes when invoked directly. For basic use, {{Fb-rt|country}} can be replaced with {{#invoke:flag|fb-rt|country}}.
