This template is a Citation Style 1 wrapper template based on {{Cite encyclopedia}}. For centralised Citation Style 1 discussions, see Help talk:Citation Style 1.

This template is intended to ease citation from online edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica (known as Britannica), excluding previous printed editions of the encyclopedia. Much of this template was derived from Template:Cite EJ, so credit to User:Ploni for that.

This template is intended to provide easy citations to the online edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica. This template should not be used to cite previous editions of the encyclopedia.
