Template:Being archived/doc

Usage

Use this template on a talk page when you are archiving it to prevent edit conflicts. Consider it a specialized version of {{in use}}: used only on talk pages, and only for manual archiving purposes. This is normally not necessary; use it if you are doing something complicated, such as move archival or archiving multiple sections one at a time. This template is merely a polite request; if left in place for an extended period of time, other editors should feel free to remove it.

If archiving a section, use:

{{archiving|section=yes}}

Removal

If this template has been left in place for more than two hours since the last edit as reported by this template, you can safely assume the placing editor has forgotten to remove it, and you may remove it yourself.

Inserts a banner asking users not to edit a discussion page for a short time while it is being archived.
