Tarenna is a genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae. There are about 193 species distributed across the old world tropics of Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Islands.[1] Petra De Block et al. have assigned several species formerly included in Tarenna to other genera, Cladoceras, Sonbridia, and Nesotarenna within the tribe Pavetteae.[2] They are shrubs or trees with oppositely arranged leaves and terminal arrays of whitish, greenish, or yellowish flowers.[3]
