Tanuj Khatri is an Indian public official, academic and former student leader serving as a State Information Commissioner in the Jharkhand State Information Commission. Before his appointment to the Commission, he served as spokesperson of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and was president of the Ranchi University Postgraduate Students' Union.[1]
State Information Commissioner
[edit source]In June 2026, the Governor of Jharkhand approved the appointment of four State Information Commissioners, including Khatri. He took the oath of office on 1 July 2026 at Raj Bhavan, Ranchi.[2][3][4][5][6]
As Information Commissioner, he has participated in matters relating to implementation of the Right to Information Act, 2005, within the State of Jharkhand.
