Someone please clarify...is zainab (a) a word or phrase that any modern Arabic speaker would automatically recognize as a description for e.g. a jasmine, lavender, lilac, or rose (given that those flowers are fragrant); (b) known/shown to be derived from Arabic word elements that historically would have been recognized by Arabic speakers at some point as referring to any such flower; or (c) the name of a particular flowering plant which has among its attributes the fact that it is, among other things, fragrant (i.e. similarly to the name Jasmine)? 134.134.139.73 (talk) 04:32, 8 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
