Needed Information
[edit]The team doesn't have a home page or Instagram account yet. Korean teams tend to get Instagram accounts before anything else, but the name Yeoncheon_FC is already taken by a team that existed there in the past.
I hope to update the team list once some sort of account becomes available.
There is a squad list on Namuwiki, and although they often have inside information, I prefer to have an actual source to reference. OttoSilver (talk) 01:48, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- TBH fourth-division semi-pro teams don't really need current squads, it is hard to get reliable updated information for that, and the squad is constantly changing since the players are mostly amateurs. This (and similar) articles for those Korean lower division clubs barely even pass WP:GNG, or maybe they don't even do that. Snowflake91 (talk) 11:14, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- I completely understand it, but without the squads, the articles are in danger of being moved to Draft space every time I make a minor edit.
- I'm making an effort to update when I notice a transfer, and it will become significantly easier once I have all the teams and squads updated once. OttoSilver (talk) 03:20, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, K3/4 are semi-professional leagues. Teams have financial requirements to be allowed in the league, and players have contracts. They get paid something, even if it's only a win bonus. K5-7, the amateur leagues, have no such requirements.
- If there is a better way that does not involve small articles for each club, then I'll happily do it. I understand that an article that is barely an introduction is not adequate, so I'm working my way though the league, trying to add as much useful history and information as I can find. It will take time, but we'll get there. There are others working to update the K League teams, but as far as I can tell, I'm almost completely alone with the K3 and K4 teams. - The only requirement to have an article accepted is to prove that it passess WP:GNG, even if it is just a stub with only 1-2 sentences, it won't be moved to draft. Snowflake91 (talk) 09:28, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
