I don't think so. Xerophyte is specifically about plants, while Xerophile describes any organism[1]. Xerophile microbiology behaves significantly different from Xerophile plants, so it warrants having separate articles. --Anka.213 (talk) 08:19, 10 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Moving the mechanism of adaption to its own section
