Cleanup :
- Sport governing body (this should-be-major article is in a shameful state)
- Field hockey (History section needs sources and accurate information - very vague at the moment.)
- Standardize Category:American college sports infobox templates to use same font size and spacing.
- Sport in the United Kingdom - the Popularity section is incorrect and unsourced. Reliable data is required.
- Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."
Expand : Professional sports (crucial article explaining the salaried undertaking of sports)

Photo : for pages listed in Category:Wikipedia requested images of sports and games and sub-categories.

- Add reliable sources. Experienced editors have free access to books on sports from McFarland.
- Translate the page of sport in each country from corresponding article in other language Wikipedia to English Wikipedia which was marked in red.
- Categorize: Gather all (major/olympic) sports to be part of this project
- RfCs: answer requests for comment

How does this page not have a table listing the winners chronologically? Or a link to a wiki page with that data? There’s a link to a wiki page with NL champions, and a link to a wiki page with AL champions. The closest this page has is a link to the official MLB site’s awful page listing the winners in a terrible layout that is impossible to scan. Just a masterclass of hiding the main thing people go to this page for. ~2026-42083-59 (talk) 04:36, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

That list is in its own article, List of World Series champions, which is linked within this article. The list itself is long enough to more than qualify for its own article and was split off many years ago from this one as a result. Echoedmyron (talk) 11:02, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
