The London Evening Standard's Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction suggested that the Norfolk journey was for a bet, and although the bet was won, it reduced Kemp to a physical wreck, ending his career and presumably his life not long after. I suspect the burial of "Kempe a man" at St Saviour's, Southwark, is quoted from its parish registers. If they were published the entry should be accompanied by a date of the burial. I would prefer the date be quoted than just be content with "late in 1603" if that could be found out.Cloptonson (talk) 17:30, 27 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

There's a lot of trivial crap included here. This is an encylopedia article, not a list of every actor who played Kempe on television and every YA historical novel that mentions him. I'll leave this here for a while to get other opinions, but I'm tempted to take a machete to this section, leaving only the modern reenactments of Kempe's Nine Days Wonder, which seem more directly relevant.
